NBA Picks Wednesday 3/2/2016 – MIL vs. IND

3/2/2016

Picture
Pick #1 – Indiana Pacers at Milwaukee Bucks

This is a big game for both teams and if history repeats itself as it has been known to do this should be one explosive game. As the Pacers cling to one of the last playoffs and Bucks fight with all have to claw there way back into the hunt this Eastern conference rivalry game should be intense. Both Milwaukee and Indiana are playing 5-5 basketball over their last 10 games so each is clearly ready to show up on any given night. These teams are known to bring the best out of each other offensively and Milwaukee (25-35) and Indiana (31-29) should give us the high tempo game we would expect from two teams fighting for one of the last playoff spots in an inter conference rivalry. Both teams have injuries but not to any key superstar players. Its CJ Miles on the Pacers side of the ball and for Milwaukee the injury list reads Jerryd Bayless, John Henson, Steve Novak, and Greivis Vasquez so we figure as has been happening of late for the Bucks starters to get all court time they can manage. The Pacers and Bucks have both been playing lackadaisical defense as of late so the buckets should be dropping tonight without problem. Evaluating these two foes last 10 match ups the over/under is a lopsided 7-3 and we are beginning to see why this is starting to shape up to be a very nice matchup specific play. While the previous numbers are leaning us in a direction it is not until we delve deeper into more finite details do will really get the full picture on why this is such a strong play. The total has gone OVER in 4 of Milwaukee's last 5 games when playing Indiana Clearly when these teams face off the ability to play defense is forgotten. Also a lack of defense is evident in the offensive and defensive last 10 game averages as the stats work out to be 202.9 and 205.8 points per game respectively which gets us over the peak of where we need to be in terms of scoring allowance. The point spread for this NBA Total begin at 206 and has only been swinging a half point so it looks like the market is not yet accounting for how biased the outcomes are when these two teams link up. When these two teams met two months ago the score was a whopping 120 – 116 and we should get more of the same tonight. Despite the over/under not moving much we are seeing the a 68% consensus rate which has to getting us excited about where the smart money is trending. The Pacers have to win by -2.5 on the road so we can figure to see some serious shots flying in this. Just look at what happened in Milwaukee's last game two nights ago against Houston where the score managed to find a ceiling of 128-121 win. Lets follow the savvy side here and roll with the OVER 205.5 and grab some of this nice value sitting on the board today.
