NBA Picks Monday 4/18/2016 – IND vs. TOR

Pick #1 – Indiana Pacers at Toronto Raptors

The NBA playoffs have started and if they are anywhere near as exciting and as intense as the Indiana Pacers and Toronto Raptors first game was we are in for a real treat this NBA postseason. A must need win and revenge home game for the Toronto Raptors who just like the Indiana Pacers have taken down seven of there last 10 games, this should be an all out brawl and offensive attack in this home rubber game. The Indiana Pacers (46-37) and the Toronto Raptors (56-27) are both playing some amazing basketball right now and we have to think each team is going to give everything they have got on the offensive end with such high stakes and high rewards involved. Both teams are playing without injury and we are seeing a Paul George like no other lately so we can expect Toronto superstars Lowry and DeRozen to start to try and keep pace and showcase their offensive prowess on the way to a much needed home court win. Despit being do or die for the Raptors the numbers and splayoff specific conditions are really aiming to hit the OVER on this potentially explosive match up. Lets take a look at some of the more minute details to find out why this total over/under side makes sense. The total has gone OVER in 4 of Toronto's last 6 games at home. In addition to this Toronto has a 24-18 season over/under Total record at home so we can be pretty much assured of a bounce back performance from this home court offensive powerhouse. The offensive and defensive stats do not lie here and when averaged over the prior 10 contests we get a 204.7 and 195.4 score respectively hitting OVER on the expected betting mark each time. The over/under for this NBA spread total opened at 193 and has now climbed to 194.5 so we get a nice glimpse at where the intelligent money is heading tonight. The Raptors who just lost by 10 at home have to hold for a -7.5 point spread win to cover so we can expect there to be no doubt that points will be playing in to put an emphasis on this win. Even the consensus for this game is the highest on the charts at 69% so the public is betting on a similar outcome which is always positive to see. The last plyaoff game two days ago in Toronto between these two Eastern conference foes resulted in a 100 – 90 win for the Pacers away team so the Raptors should come out swinging at all costs tonight. This should a strong OVER 194.5 play due to the game specific factors and potential so lets go with are read and take this one home.
