NBA Picks Monday 4/11/2016 – CHI vs. NOH

Pick #1 – Chicago Bulls at New Orleans Pelicans

A game that means nothing for either team we really should see some uninspired and potentially sloppy basketball in a lot of tonights games as the season winds down into the playoffs. Both the Chicago Bulls and New Orleans Pelicans are playing for absolutely nothing as of now which is reflected in there identical 4-6 prior 10 game records. The Chicago Bulls (40-40) and the New Orleans Peilcans (30-50) have both eliminated from the playoffs so this is a game more of formality then anything. Each team is dealing with a plethora of injuries to their star players and core rosters. The Bulls are sitting Derrick Rose, Taj Gibson, E'Twaun Moore and Pau Gasol while the Pelicans will be missing the likes of such superstars as Anthony Davis, Jrue Holiday, Norris Cole, Ryan Anderson among others. If the trends are leaning towards this game going UNDER we have to love the fact that so many profilic scorers will not take the court tonight. Lets take a look at some of the key trends that make this pick so appealing. The total has gone UNDER in 6 of New Orleans's last 8 games. On top of this the total has gone UNDER in 5 of Chicago's last 5 games on the road so we are really starting to see the shortage of scoring power and lack of incentives for winning show. The Bulls also have a season over/under total record of 37-43 so we are really strating off with some nice trends in our favor but of course it gets better. Offensive and defensive numbers when averaged over the past 10 games hold outputs of 194.4 and 203.7 so we get that rare spot where both stats really lean in towards our side of the pick. The over/under for this NBA spread total opened at 206.5 and has already dropped as low as 205 so we have to really like where the money is pouring on this game. The Bulls have to cover a -3.5 point spread but that should not be that big of factor in this more then likely low scoring and non meaningful affair. The consensus for this matchup shows the under at a promising 61% so everything is looking to favor a nice solid bet. The last Bulls and Pelicans resulted in a 98 – 94 Bulls win so we should expect much of the same tonight with possibly even less scoring. Lets trust the trends and reads here and take the UNDER 205 which should have a ton of value.
