Another fantastic holiday season Friday and we find ourslves giddy over the opportunity to bet on the Los Angeles Lakers (10-18) versus the Philadelphia 76ers (6-19) tonight which hopefuly will bring back huge rewards as two not that hot teams take the court. We get a strong opening read on this game as we have tracked this NBA 212.5 opening over / under line and seen it sneak all the way down to a 211 total and this swing is a very telling sign on where this bet ends up. Pouring further into the facts and stats we see that the total has gone UNDER in 5 of LA Lakers's last 7 games on the road so the Lakers are clearly playing a different game when traveling. On top of this the total has gone UNDER in 4 of Philadelphia's last 5 games so the 76ers in general are struggling to find there offensive footing and tonight should be no different. The recent offensive and deffensive performance statistics give us averages of 202.67 and 216.88 and the defensive side of the numbers is simply too low in this spot to not find tremendous value on the UNDER that is 9 points of our total tonight. Both teams OVER/UNDER combined record for the year is 33-13 so we should fully expect a regression back to the mean towards the UNDER happening sooner then later and we will gladly pick up some of that steam tonight. When it comes to pace of play Los Angeles is 4 and Philadelphia is 17 so its going to be a Philly paced game at home which hilghly favors our UNDER side. Equally favorable the Lakers are 9 (dropping quickly) in posessions per game and the 76ers are 13 (undergoing the biggest drop in touches we have seen all year) so once again these teams should not be scoring a large percentage of the time in this exact spot. The public consensus for this game is 80% in favor of the over so we get the nice general consensus and public fade that we always like to have on our side in this one as well. The computer predicted scoring outcome of this game is 210 so a 211 UNDER play given all the above looks promising in the wake of all that we have going for us.
